Zendaya wants to leave comfort zone behind amid career boom

Zendaya is usually seen on the big screens in “good guys” roles. To leave her comfort zone, she wanted to switch to the opposite side, where negativity reigns.

During an interview with Elle, the Spider-Man star said, “I would love to play a villain.”. I’d love to channel that evil, supervillain vibe. Whatever that manifests as, I do not think of it in a superhero sense, but rather in an emotional sense. I usually play the good guy, so I’d like to play the bad guy.”

In addition to playing devil roles, the 26-year-old has already played bold characters such as Euphoria.

The Emmy-winning actor’s latest role in Challengers, however, caused quite a stir because it depicted her ‘raunchiest side’.

During the interview, the California native responded, “From a character standpoint, I want to find things that will push me. As I get older, you know.”

“I can’t play a teenager for the rest of my life.” I felt like it was a good step into what could be called a “grown-up” role. It was a little scary to take on, which I think is a good thing.”
