Starting on Thursday, the UK government will charter flights to relocate Afghan refugees living in Pakistan who have been promised UK visas.

Many people who worked with or for the UK government in Afghanistan and fled the Taliban are in Pakistan, waiting for relocation to the UK.

There are some who have been waiting for more than a year, according to charities.

Pakistan announced earlier this month that it would begin deporting illegal immigrants on November 1.

The Afghan refugees in Pakistan include former translators for the British Army and teachers for the British Council, all part of either the Afghan Relocation and Assistance Policy or Afghan Citizens Resettlement Scheme.

The UK asked them to go to Pakistan to process their visas so that they could start a new life in the country.

However, many of the refugees’ visas have expired.

The British authorities in Pakistan now consider people in this group to be “at risk of deportation” according to a risk assessment document revealed in court.

In Islamabad, around 3,250 men, women, and children on UK relocation schemes live in guest houses and hotels.

As a result, they are unable to work in Pakistan and their children cannot attend school there.

They thought they would be in Pakistan for a few weeks at first.

According to court documents, many face longer waits in part because Prime Minister Rishi Sunak banned them from staying in hotels in the UK, except in exceptional cases.
