  • The UK is set to pay France an extra £8m a year under a revised deal to try to stop people crossing the English Channel in small boats.

The money will pay for increased surveillance of French beaches, while UK police officers will also be able to observe patrols within France.

French officers patrolling the coast to try to stop people setting off will rise from 200 to 300 over five months.

Under the new agreement, signed by Home Secretary Suella Braverman in Paris, the UK will pay France £63m this year, and it comes as than 40,000 people have crossed the Channel in small boats so far this year.

She needs to go don’t pay France

    AWcinema AWcinema says:

Okay I’m a silly American but I have questions if you were in France why would you want to leave isn’t France way more cooler and beautiful and fun great food architect then the UK? What am I missing here as an American why are they leaving such a great place

    carefulcliffdriver says:

@Gemm Not really true – most young arrivals want to work. It’s very hard to find jobs just in your own community. They may well bring over their parents/ grandparents once asylum is granted – they are the ones who don’t speak English.

    Gemm says:

@carefulcliffdriver Yes it is true as nearly everyone where i live speak in their own languages

    Michelle says:

@AWcinema AWcinema i would agree with you only if the land the US possesses in which alot of immigrants go and live wasn’t stolen land 😂

    AWcinema AWcinema says:

    @Michelle i agree💯%

    facetube youbook says:

@carefulcliffdriver yet not 1 I have heard in the UK near the hotels near me speaking English 🤣

    carefulcliffdriver says:

Wont help at all – people will just leave from Belgium. Unless people are automatically moved to a 3rd country – like they go in Australia – people will just keep coming and coming

    Pamela x says:

@Kris.70 Yeah, UK could have done that.

    carefulcliffdriver says:

@bla blup Rwanda seemed a good compromise. There are other places too. Papau new Guinea, Mongolia, etc

    adventures says:

    @Kris.70 they don’t reported it

    Elaine says:

Blame the U.K. government for staying in the ECHR which allows these human rights lawyers to appeal to the ECHR to halt deportations.
The only way Britain can stop this mass invasion, is to leave- The Marrakesh Declaration, signed by Theresa May in 2018, the UN Migration Convention, the European Court of Human Rights.
Dominic Raab is taking his time with the British Bill of Human Rights which will mean nothing if we don’t leave the ECHR.
Look up these pro-migration International treaties.

    John Smith says:

“You know what stops illegal migrants? Lethal rounds. Or if deemed too cruel, an immediate flight to the Democratic Republic of the Congo as part of a fee payment arrangement with Congo. No questions asked on what happens after the flight deboards them.”

    David Deacon says:

We’re going to stop the problem of ‘illegal small boat crossings’ with legal large boat crossing aren’t we.

    Roger Mellie says:

Use the Titanic. Oops, it’s sunk again. Typical

    Mike Hutchison says:

A)It is not illegal to seek asylum !
B)Those on the Titanic we’re either rich…..and therefore entitled to go wherever they want ( much like the Russian oligarchs have done in London)……or poor migrants and some even drowned !!!
C)Any comments about the 40,000 people that were brought in to work on the land,of the rich landed gentry,so that they didn’t lose any money ?

    David Deacon says:

@Mike Hutchison illegal immigration is illegal. Name one other country that allows you to cross their border without reprocussions.

    Roger Mellie says:

@Mike Hutchison True. And those Albanians provide us Brits with good quality cocaine. They offer a very valuable service. Good on em.

    Ell J says:

There will still be people trying to cross nothing will change 🤦‍♀️

    Public Public says:

@Beautiful empathetic Liberal woman The Berlin Wall didn’t stop people crossing a border.

    Beautiful empathetic Liberal woman says:

@Public Public Yes it did. What’s it like having no country or people of your own? Does it make you feel noble and virtuous?

    ___Beyond Horizon says:

Why have many babies and feel the burden 🥺

    facetube youbook says:

@TheYoutubeGuy shame on ppl who pander to the savages who go on to rape groom children and commit crimes. Kids can’t even play in our local parks no more as the savages sit around there drinking trying to groom young girls , makes me feel physically sick thinking about it.

    Heather Whittaker says:

They are illegal…you fly them right back to their country of Origin….it would save in the long run,and be a deterrent

    Rocky Atlantis says:

These clever boat hoppers dump their passports into the channel waters before entering UK shores. It’s impossible to say which exact country they came from without papers and these people pretend to speak strange languages to confuse the translators to further make it complicated!!

    Major Moolah says:

Do you have any idea how expensive that would be

    Rick Grimes says:

    @Philippe C. Grandbois
    Meh “HuMaN RiGhTs” lol

    Miss Ruzl says:

@Rocky Atlantis true but European countries shouldn’t bear this consequences. They shouldn’t allow them land on their shore as well. If they drown so be it!!! Because they are now doing this intentionally due to how liberal EU countries are!

    John Smith says:

“You know what stops illegal migrants? Lethal rounds. Or if deemed too cruel, an immediate flight to the Democratic Republic of the Congo as part of a fee payment arrangement with Congo. No questions asked on what happens after the flight deboards them.”

    Marc Williams says:

Another deal, more money spent and nothing will change. Looks like 80k coming next year if the pattern of the past 20 years carries on and we’ve no reason to believe otherwise.

    Oracle says:

I’m convinced that this Tory government has a fetish for throwing money away. Never seen such an incompetent bunch of clowns in my life

    Rocky Atlantis says:

It’s not a huge cost considering how much UK may have to spend on illegal immigrants once they arrive in UK. If i were PM of UK i would add 10 more battle ships guarding the channel waters. UK is too crowded and it almost feels like you are in Africa!

    Serbian Warrior says:

    @Rocky Atlantis preach ☺️

    ij g says:

It will not stop the boats to England
The ONLY way is to send them back immediately when they arrive and then the boats will stop

    Ese Alfred says:

What a lovely post you have i know you do not know me before but didn’t be frightened your posts are exciting, but we are not friends on YouTube,.i sent you a friend request  but it didn’t go through, kindly send me a request let’s be friends if you don’t mind beautiful ❤

    Happyjon n says:

The best way we can discourage them is give them all British Citizenship. The rest of us don’t get free hotel rooms, energy bills paid, fast track dentist and GPs etc. they can suffer with the rest of us and see how long they want to stay here.

    Dasch Martin says:

    Exactly ..they will run away

    Amir Shah Vlogs says:

@Pakistani Paddy Muhammad O’Grady shame on you , worst of human I have ever seen .you are disgusting

    Elaine says:

The U.K. Globalist Parliament are not serious about stopping mass migration, they just stick an expensive French band-aid on the problem. Britain will be another Africa in five years.

    geeza Lee says:

Why don’t you go to France and cross back with a dinghy to claim asylum? You would get a luxury experience😑

    Roger Mellie says:

@Casper This country does. As long as you’re not a citizen, or are one in jail.

    Seeking Enlightenment says:

Have they decided which one of them will be selling the duty frees ?
Rumour has it the Tories are to make deal with Mother Nature, in effort to reduce migrant crossings over coming winter (bad weather) months. Lets hope the deal has not been brokered by a ‘friend’ via an offshore consultancy charging a £45 million set up fee !

    geofo60 Geof Harris says:

According to a Channel 4 report on Sunday, once these people have entered the water and jumped on a boat, France has no jurisdiction to enter the water and arrest them. Then change the law !! What a joke.

    Mike Hutchison says:

Are we sure Geoffrey is a Homo sapiens…..”thinking man?”.
Sounds more like a Neanderthal to me.

    Synapptic User says:

    @Mike Hutchison stupid remark.

    Rolf_jdm says:

Resources are finite. Europe is not responsible for solving the illegal immigration problem. Get your countries in order before critizing the EU.

    captain patriarchy says:

Let’s increase the money we are paying to the French to do nothing, so they can do nothing faster than ever!

    Aman Upadhyay says:

First 6 months of 2022, Uk saw boat migrants from Albania, Afghan & Iran. Since June, Albanians are 42% of the migrants across the channel.
    – They know there is a Asylum in UK backed by a legal Act. Govt doesn’t seem to get the root of the problem while those in the asylum are navigating their friends. 😑

    Miss Ruzl says:

    Exactly!!

    Billy Goat says:

Emotional blackmail is not a form of legal entry.

    ij g says:

It will not stop the boats to England
The ONLY way is to send them back immediately when they arrive and then the boats will stop

    Miss Ruzl says:

Don’t even let them cross the sea !!

    Chris Mitchell says:

Simple train ticket cheaper than the hotels

    O Z says:

Send in the entire British/French Navy to block them while on the water. They have nothing to do and what are those ships used for anyways?!

    Ese Alfred says:

What a lovely post you have i know you do not know me before but didn’t be frightened your posts are exciting, but we are not friends on YouTube,.i sent you a friend request  but it didn’t go through, kindly send me a request let’s be friends if you don’t mind beautiful

    T Iger says:

nothing will change until the French agree to take the people who land on UK beaches in boats are simply taken back to the safe country they left, France.

    TheYoutubeGuy says:

Look how many migrants france and Germany takes in compared to the UK, its embarrassing. Maybe we should be taking in our fair share.

    Arcaryon says:

Maybe we should all simply recognise that France etc. can not / do not want to handle all of the new arrivals – aka. we either work together and distribute them in a fair manner or keep most of them out of Europe as a matter of principle and I say that for the sake of diplomacy, not because it’s my personal conviction relating to morality or a lack thereof.

    Balthus says:

@TheYoutubeGuy Try living in south east England, it’s basically a colony of foreign nationals now.

    Chris Mitchell says:

Great to see both countries working to stop the criminal human trade time also for the EU to step up as well

    TELEGRAM ME 👉👉@Chuggaaconroy2 says:

    Hit me up……

    👑 Virgin Ra 👑 says:

unleashing conflicts even far from its territory has its consequences

    peter chapman says:

The deal has already been in place for twenty years and the home secretary already has the right to refuse entry to all the migrants wishing to enter the uk so why are the government not using their powers to deal with this problem?
