So much media coverage and all of it shared freely on YouTube talking about how will we possibly communicate with each other without Twitter. I can’t be the only one who sees the irony. “Worrying” is so dramatic. I couldn’t be less worried.

    Yeah I dont use it.

@Vardhan Shrivastava The trouble is what most people say over time has no lasting
or intrinsic value. It’s village pump gossip on
    a global scale.

    Vardhan Shrivastava says:

@Bonnie I just listed one of the many ways twitter has been impact full. Quick updates during disaster, crowd sourced safety information, government notification and so on and on. Again, twitter is not perfect never has been but it still plays an outsized role as a global town square. Hate it or love it, fact remains.

    Kristina Melnichenko says:

I think the only people “worried” are advertisers. I think returning to qualified sources like AP, NPR, and government-issued statements and resources (just to name a few) will be good for thoughtful genuine discourse. It can’t be that hard to fathom that a relatively recent social media company ending won’t be the end of us. The media is more worried about twitter than climate change.

Elon Musk is the greatest and will lead us to victory over the Christians…ALL HAIL SATAN!!!!!

Just so you know, NO news source is safe from bias. Just try to recognize what each one is and get a well rounded “news diet”, continue to ask questions and keep calm. Peace!

    Jen-Yueh Hu says:

Yes it is past time that government announcements are made on government websites and nowhere else. I understand that it would mean governments would then need to be responsible for their own antihacking measures, but it is still better than the circus that it is at the moment.

    Maximus Asauluk says:

@Aaron Reed Gosh I wish there were independent organizations that would analyze bias and fact reporting of all the news sources available! Oh wait, there are…and AP ranks above almost everyone else, even higher than the BBC which itself is quite reliable. If you think they are biased, I have news for you, you are the biased one.
