During a recent appearance on Britain’s Got Talent, Simon Cowell revealed that his son Eric is keen on auditioning.

Simon told Entertainment Tonight that the nine-year-old has been a great help to him as he judges this season of America’s Got Talent.

According to the reality TV show judge, Eric Silverman is a “great barometer” of talent when it comes to the performances on the show, which he shares with his fiancée Lauren Silverman.

Simon said, “Well, it’s brilliant because he’s to my left, so I always glance over, and you know the really crazy act tonight, he was swallowing swords, right? He’s jumping up and down in his seat literally and he’s making me laugh so much.”

“And with kids, you can’t fake it. If they like something, they like it. If they don’t like something, they’re bored,” the famous television personality said.

Simon revealed, “Now he’s decided he’s going to audition for Britain’s Got Talent. He wants to be in a rock band.”

His favorite band is Green Day,” Simon continued. “It’s going to be torture. I mean, of all the things I’ve ever done, that will probably be the hardest. He plays drums, and he’s going to sing! I went, ‘Oh God, no!'”

Simon shared, “But he’s really serious about it.”. “Maybe because all these kids are auditioning and he wants to sit there with his friends… I hope he’ll be sitting there in ten or less years.”
