Qualification for next summer’s European Championships will resume after the first international break of the 2023-24 season.

A total of six days will be spent by the continent’s nations battling for a place in Germany’s finals.

The home nations are included here, with England and Scotland already in a very strong position.

In spite of this, some major countries still have a lot of work to do in order to qualify.

Find out how qualifying is shaping up and what fixtures you should keep an eye on in the coming days.

Having won four out of four games and totaling 12 points, Scotland sits well out in front of the rest of the group.

As they travel to Cyprus on Friday night, who are bottom of the group without a point from three games, they will have a great chance to add to that. Hampden Park in March was the only time Clarke’s team has beaten them.

In particular, Scotland will be mindful of the sides below them – Spain – which have games in hand and can build some momentum with a couple of wins within a week.

As part of the 150th anniversary celebrations at Hampden Park, the Scots will play an old rival, England, in their second qualifier during this break.
