I don't see why we pay ministers a set salary… Should be tiered to their performance and if they screw the economy up they should be Capped at the average pay of the UK for that year or a set low amount e.g. 20k

    David Weaver says:

There's no point because they are fully committed to destroying the NHS.

    Mark Phelan says:

Maybe stop paying private health providers through the NHS and we'll really see where the money is going. Nurses may love their jobs but they are not going to stay when they are being impoverished by this government. Waiting times for GPs was 2 days before the Tories came into power 12 years ago, they are strip mining the NHS and diverting funds to private companies. When there are more foodbanks than McDonalds in the country there should be no greater sign of failure, but there is the great British innovation of warmbanks.

She is absolutely out of touch – it is unbelievable.

    Carlton Symonette says:

Funding for the Ukrainian war is literally limitless for so many of the global super powers. How many billions have been sent to fund endless wars? Yet, no money for those who are essential workers. It's beyond irresponsible and totally unacceptable. End funding wars and repurpose those funds to take care of the middle and working class.

    Scott Everett says:

Nurses have my full support. The tories we’re willing to take on 10s of billions in debt to give tax breaks to those fleecing us, they can shut up about inflation.

    Jason K says:

Mixed messages here, how come bankers can spend their way out of inflation through this trickle down bunkum but nurses can’t? We need nurses, we don’t need hedge fund managers so much.

    A M says:

The Tory economic mismangment over 12 years. General election vote them out !

    AA Salaam says:

The fact she says they understand why strike action is happening and that it's all to do with inflation today says they they just don't get it. This is a manifestation of years of under investment, including when inflation was low. Totally out of touch. This has been building up for over 12 years.

    Marius SnowFlake says:

Entitled criminals of course don't see a need to strike. Shameful
