    Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell says the Labor government is seeking the correct legal advice as to what they can do in the regulatory space with gas prices.

    "That is what they are looking at, with a decision to cap gas prices or force gas companies to supply more gas to come after the Prime Minister returns from his overseas trip," Mr Clennell said.

    “We know there are problems with electricity as well as gas prices but any solution on electricity will require cooperation of the states.”
