With Sri Lanka dismissed in just 15.2 overs after electing to bat, Mohammed Siraj took 6-21, including four wickets in one over.

In Hardik Pandya’s 2.2 overs, five Sri Lankan batters were dismissed for ducks.

With Ishan Kishan’s 23 not out and Shubman Gill’s unbeaten 27, India reached their target in just 6.1 overs.

During his second over, Siraj dismissed Pathum Nissanka, Sadeera Samarawickrama, Charith Asalanka, and Dhananjaya de Silva to record Sri Lanka’s second-lowest one-day international score.

According to Siraj, “It’s like a dream.”. I took four early wickets against Sri Lanka earlier this year, but I didn’t get a five-wicket haul.

I just bowled my line and length as wickets kept falling.

It had not swung much in the early matches here, but it did today. The batters were trying to play the ball.”
