In December, England hope Ecclestone will be fit for a tour to India after she was rested for the current series against Sri Lanka.

The third and final T20 international will be played in Derby on Wednesday, followed by three one-day matches.

After taking 10 wickets in the Test against Australia in June, Ecclestone took 10 wickets across both white-ball formats as the Ashes series was drawn.

In The Hundred, she captained the Originals and took seven wickets as they failed to qualify for the knockout stages.

While Lauren Bell continues to recover from illness, she has been ruled out of the Sri Lanka series.
