For the first time since Sri Devi’s death in 2018, Boney Kapoor addressed accusations of killing her.

Sri Devi’s death, Boney said in an interview with The New Indian, “wasn’t natural, but accidental.” He said Dubai police gave him a clean bill of health.

Mom producer shared: “The officers said we had to go through this because of pressure from Indian media,” adding that authorities soon realized “no foul play had occurred.”

As for lie detector tests, Boney said, “I went through all of that.”. Of course, the report clearly indicated that it was an accidental drowning.

As a result of her strict diet, Sri Devi’s health deteriorated. “She often died; she wanted to look good,” he said. 

According to the widower, he encouraged the English Vinglish actress to start taking care of her health, but she refused.

After attending a family wedding, Sridevi drowned in a bathtub at a Dubai hotel in 2018. With Boney, she had two daughters, Jahnvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor.
