A thorough investigation was demanded by MohBad’s fans after his mysterious death.

Marley, with whom he had feuded after splitting from the musician’s label, Marlian Records, was the target of outrage.

According to Marley, who previously denied involvement in MohBad’s death, he returned from abroad to assist with the investigation.

Marley said, referring to MohBad by another name, that it was important for him to do his part for Imole.

Although he has had previous brushes with the law, he is also a controversial figure. He reached an out-of-court settlement with a man who accused him and his associates of assaulting him and stealing his car in 2020. The charges were denied by Marley.

MohBad and Marley had a bitter fallout last year after MohBad left Marley’s Marlian Records label.

Several videos have surfaced since MohBad’s death, in which he complains that the label harassed and cheated him.

According to Marley, the claims were “lies” and he was not “directly or indirectly involved in MohBad’s death”.

Two weeks ago, fans marched to Lekki toll gate to continue their vigil after a tribute concert on Lagos’s Victoria Island.

As mourners danced to the songs of the late artist, known for his streetwise, sometimes lewd lyrics and distinctive baritone voice, many wore white t-shirts and held candles aloft.

Social media has been trending with the hashtag #justiceformohbad. There have been protests across southern Nigeria, and his fans want to know how he died, prompting the Lagos state governor to open an investigation involving the secret police.
