In response to reports that she only eats 900 calories a day, Heidi Klum took to social media to clarify the matter.

As she shared screenshots of articles written about her on her Instagram stories, Klum expressed her disappointment. I just got home, and some friends are sending me articles about me taking in only 900 calories. I want to say, I’ve never had to count calories in my life.” she said.

It’s important not to believe everything you read. I don’t count calories.” she added.

According to other outlets, Klum shared what she eats in a day during a previous Instagram Q&A, which included three poached eggs in chicken broth for breakfast and 900 calories for the day.

The 5’9″ Klum also filmed herself stepping on the scale, which hovered between 137 and 139 pounds.

Her latest video shows her getting on the scale and showing how much she weighs. Lum received an overwhelming amount of backlash online following the initial reports that she only ate 900 calories, with people questioning the example she was setting for others. “I don’t know, people just put things together and write a bunch of crap, and it’s really sad because there is no real journalism anymore.”

An X user wrote, “This is how people adopt eating disorders… please do not work off a diet like this.”

Don’t compare your body to celebrities or your eating habits. During the initial Q&A, before all the backlash, Klum was also asked by a follower whether the 16-year age gap between her husband Tom Kaulitz and her mattered to her. Another user recommended consulting with a doctor or nutritionist to figure out a healthy range of daily calories for you to consume based on your activity level and goals.

A person asked the German American supermodel: “Don’t you feel like you’re Tom’s mother’s age, or does age not matter at all?”

In reply, Klum stated that she felt that way only when people pointed it out to her.

Kaulitz is nearly 34 years younger than Klum, who is 16 years older. A wedding took place in 2019 between the two.
