In the Sudanese region of Darfur, a medical charity says a significant number of people have fled fresh violence.

Non-Arabs have been killed in West Darfur by the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces and allied militias, according to witnesses.

However, the RSF has previously stated it is not involved in a “tribal conflict” and did not immediately respond to the claims.

According to Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF), seven thousand people have crossed the Sudanese border into Chad in the past three days.

Dozens of people are wounded among them. According to MSF, most of the refugees are women and children who are fleeing violence without anything.

There are reports of men crossing into Chad from Darfur at Adre, about 27 kilometers (17 miles) from El Geneina, the state capital.

Journalists have reported atrocities committed in recently captured areas of West Darfur.

A humanitarian crisis of “unimaginable proportions” is unfolding in Sudan, according to the UN refugee agency.

A total of nearly six million people have been displaced since the Sudanese army and RSF started fighting in mid-April.

Approximately 500,000 people have crossed into Chad, mostly from West Darfur, according to the International Organisation for Migration (IOM).

During their latest talks, the rival forces did not progress toward a ceasefire, instead they agreed to facilitate aid deliveries.
