All-rounder Moeen Ali believes England’s World Cup squad still has the fight to turn their campaign around.

To reach the semi-finals, England will likely need to win all five of their remaining matches in Bengaluru on Thursday.

So far, the defending champions have lost three of four games, including a record defeat to South Africa.

“If there is one side that will fight from this position and could win, it’s our team,” Moeen said.

It’s a process of going one game at a time. We’ve done it before.”

When England won the World Cup in 2019, they had to win their final two group-stage games following defeats in three of their previous matches.

To win the title, they defeated Australia in the semi-final and New Zealand in the final.

Vice-captain Moeen emphasized the importance of winning.

It’s not an option but to put in a performance to win the game. We must win every game in order to stay in this World Cup.”

England will make at least one personnel change as the team tries to kickstart its campaign after losing Reece Topley to a broken finger.
