A community in Angus devastated by Storm Babet will be visited by Humza Yousaf.

After the River South Esk burst its banks on Friday, Mr Yousaf will meet people affected by the extreme weather on River Street, Brechin.

There have been two deaths in Scotland, including Wendy Taylor, who was swept away by the Water of Lee in Glen Esk.

River levels across the north and north east of Scotland remained high, according to the Scottish Environment Protection Agency (Sepa).

The next two days are not expected to be rainy.

By rush hour on Monday morning, parts of the A90 should reopen to traffic northbound from Forfar and southbound from Brechin.

There are still two structures classified as high-risk near Finavon, according to engineers at Amey. Divers are unable to safely conduct investigations to determine the integrity of the structure due to the water level and flow rate in the area.

Inspections must take place in a safe environment without putting our teams at risk.

In total, 17 structures have been assessed, and only two remain. At the moment, we cannot work at those last remaining structures due to high and fast river levels, but we hope to begin investigations tomorrow.
